Job summary

Light & Wonder in Chicago is seeking an experienced audio designer to bring slot games to life through music, sound effects, voice recordings, and Foley. You will work with a small, talented team of artists, engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality gaming audio.

The role requires 10+ years of professional audio experience, proficiency in Pro Tools or Logic Pro, and familiarity with FMOD Studio. You will collaborate across disciplines, maintain organized files, and adapt to evolving

Qualifications

10+ years of professional MIDI sequencing and digital audio, recording/editing with a DAW.
Experience recording and editing voiceovers and sound effects.
Familiarity with FMOD Studio or other interactive audio middleware is a plus.
Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required.
Ability to play an instrument and read/write musical notation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Compose, produce, and mix music for land-based slot games in the style selected for the game.
Create custom sound effects using DAWs and SFX libraries.
Record and edit Foley, voiceovers, or instruments as needed.
Critically listen and self-monitor to ensure quality on all target output devices.
Balance final game sounds in cabinet for field use.
Implement game audio assets using middleware and tools.
Collaborate with the game designer and development team in an iterative process.
Maintain organized working files for sharing and collaboration.
Archive final assets for future use with version control.
Assemble game audio assets for third-party and online use as needed.
