Job summary

Light & Wonder in Las Vegas is seeking a talented Composer/Sound Designer to craft music and sound for land-based slot machines. You will collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to build immersive audio experiences and produce recordings for voiceovers and Foley.

The role demands strong DAW skills (Pro Tools/Logic Pro), sample library work, and the ability to adapt to new audio technologies in a fast-paced gaming environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in MIDI sequencing and digital audio within a commercial setting.
• Experience recording and editing voiceovers and sound effects.
• Familiarity with FMOD Studio or other interactive audio middleware is a plus.
• Gaming industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Music Composition & Production: Create original music in varying styles and develop it into full productions.
• Sound Design & Implementation: Craft engaging audio assets using libraries and software synths.
• Mixing & Production: Apply EQ, compression, reverb, delay and effects to mix sounds.
• Audio Hardware & Recording: Use interfaces and recording techniques for audio capture.
• Video Capture & Editing for Audio Work: Capture in-game footage and edit for DAW use.
• Collaborate with designers and leaders, incorporating feedback iteratively.
• Maintain organized files and use version control for assets.
• Implement game audio assets using middleware and integrations.
