Job summary

SciPlay in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking a Sound Designer to convert Light and Wonder audio content for our slots and casino apps, while creating original sounds for new games.

You will work with engineers and artists across the US, Israel, India, and Ukraine, document processes in Excel, and ensure high-quality, studio-style sound that fits the game spirit.

Proficiency with FMOD, Cubase, Adobe Audition, and Jira/Confluence is preferred, with a Bachelor’s in Music or related field.

Qualifications

• Professional work experience in sound design and music composition.
• Hands-on FMOD experience for implementing adaptive game audio.
• Proficient with a DAW; Cubase strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary software.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Convert and adapt existing Light and Wonder audio content for SciPlay platforms, preserving quality and spirit.
• Create original music and sound effects for slot machines, casino apps, and promos.
• Record and direct voice-over sessions with actors.
• Create and modify FMOD projects for game integration.
• Document conversions and specs in Excel for engineering reference.
• Review builds with programmers to ensure assets function correctly.
• Collaborate with cross-field teams in the US, Israel, India and Ukraine.
