Job summary

Houston Methodist’s Sleep Disorders Center seeks a Senior Polysomnographic Technologist for three 12‑hour night shifts per week (7 p.m.–7 a.m., Wednesday–Friday). The role focuses on advanced polysomnography, scoring, and preparing reports for physician interpretation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a sleep lab, RPSGT certification (or eligibility), and BRPT/AASM-aligned practice to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a polysomnographic technologist in a sleep disorders lab/center.
• Currently certified as RPSGT or eligible with BLS requirement met.
• Demonstrates proficiency with BRPT/AASM standards and BRPT/ NBRC SDS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct polysomnography studies including advanced procedures.
• Score sleep studies and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
• Mentor and train other technologists and students; support quality improvement initiatives.
