Job summary

Enerfab is seeking a Site Safety Professional in De Soto, KS to lead safety programs on construction sites, manage safety teams, conduct audits, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role reports to the VP of Safety and Quality and requires strong leadership and communication skills.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (CSP preferred), with 5 years of construction/industrial safety experience and prior supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; CSP or similar certifications preferred.
• 5 years of experience in construction or industrial safety, with at least 2 years in supervision/management.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage site-specific safety programs and policies to meet company and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic leadership in driving a culture of safety excellence.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish safety goals and objectives.
• Lead and conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify hazards and compliance issues.
• Document inspection findings, safety violations, and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to site personnel on safety improvements.
• Manage incident reporting and investigation procedures, including near misses and injuries.
• Lead or assist in root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor training compliance and track certifications.
• Promote safety awareness and engage project teams in safety discussions.
• Ensure construction activities comply with safety regulations and enforce PPE use.
• Conduct safety compliance audits and follow up on issues.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, drills, and preparedness measures.
• Serve as a leader in the site’s emergency response team if applicable.
• Maintain and ensure availability of emergency resources and equipment.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and emergency response plans.
• Prepare and submit regular safety reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety signage and communication tools are up to date.
