Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Site Safety Manager for a 6-8 month contract in Lawrence, KS. The role leads safety efforts on a live manufacturing site during demolition, equipment installation, and multi-trade construction.

The contractor will maintain a strong field presence, conduct audits and toolbox talks, ensure OSHA compliance, and coordinate with craft personnel, subcontractors, and client reps to drive safe project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Site Safety Manager on large or complex construction projects.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience conducting safety audits, orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Strong field presence and leadership abilities.
• Experience working around multiple contractors and active construction operations.
• Ability to manage safety documentation and project compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety audits and inspections.
• Lead employee and contractor safety orientations.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Monitor demolition and installation activities.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
