Job summary

Makersite is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our remote-first team operating from Germany. You will manage infrastructure, improve observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and drive release and incident processes to ensure high uptime and reliability across our PLM platform.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in Python automation, on-call readiness, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support global customers and ensure ISO-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• 7+ years of site reliability engineering or a similar role.
• 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Maintain and manage new and existing infrastructure, balancing both proactive and reactive maintenance.
• Technical Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify technical problems and bottlenecks, collaborate with the engineering team to resolve these issues.
• ISO Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure and processes are in compliance with ISO standards.
• Production Support: Ensure tools and apps run smoothly in a production environment.
• Backup Management: Oversee backups and meet RTO/RPO targets.
• Release Management Support: Assist in managing software releases to minimize disruption.
