Job summary

DAT Freight Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE platform team in Denver, CO. This role is hybrid and focuses on reliability, automation, and scalable cloud infrastructures across distributed systems.

You will collaborate with development teams and platform architects to meet reliability goals, implement monitoring, and automate operational tasks while driving continuous improvement in a cutting-edge logistics tech environment.

Qualifications

Experience in Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering with a focus on reliability and scalability.
Total 2–4+ years of industry experience.
At least 1 year of software engineering experience (JavaScript, Python, Go, Java/Kotlin, C++, etc).
Experience with modern observability tools (Datadog preferred).
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
Proven track record of modernizing legacy code and infrastructure.
Ability to work with peer teams, platform/software architects, and management to drive reliability improvements.
Willingness to share expertise within the engineering organization.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, reliable systems.
Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems to minimize downtime.
Advocate for SRE best practices, including automation and monitoring.
Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning for growth.
Leverage AI tools to assist with coding and observability tasks.
Respond to critical engineering incidents and improve platform reliability.
Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud tooling.
