Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group in Miramar, Florida is seeking a Senior Engineer, Site Reliability to design, implement, and operate the infrastructure, automation, and systems that keep our software reliable at scale. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering and partners with Engineering, Operations, QA, and Security.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, including senior-level responsibilities.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control, branching strategies, workflows, and repository management.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for IaC.
• Expertise with GitHub Actions and Argo CD for CI/CD.
• Deep experience working with Kubernetes (Cloud and On-premises); OpenShift experience is a plus.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and logging platforms such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Familiarity with security best practices, DevSecOps principles, and compliance frameworks.
• Generative AI experience is preferred (integrating AI workflows, automation, or AI-driven tooling).

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure automation: design, build and maintain IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• CI/CD engineering: create, optimize, and maintain pipelines with GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
• Containerization & orchestration: deploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes (cloud/on‑prem) with OpenShift as a plus.
• Observability & monitoring: implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Security & compliance: apply DevSecOps practices and automated security controls.
• Collaboration & enablement: work with Engineering, Operations, QA, and Security teams to streamline workflows.
• Mentorship: provide technical guidance and coaching to junior DevOps engineers.
