Job summary

ClickHouse is building out its Site Reliability Engineering team. As one of the first joiners, you will be responsible for building and leading processes to ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure that runs ClickHouse databases.

You will collaborate with teams like Control Plane, Dataplane, Core, Security, Support and Operations, guide them to design secure, highly available distributed systems, and own incident management, post-mortems, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related field.
• Experience using ClickHouse in production is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Go and/or Python.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes or Docker Swarm).
• Experience with automation/configuration tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
• Strong production debugging and incident response skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and lead reliability engineering processes for ClickHouse Cloud.
• Collaborate with control plane, dataplane, core, security, support, and operations teams.
• Define and manage SLOs/SLAs for ClickHouse Cloud.
• Ensure monitoring/alerting across Dataplane, Control Plane, and Core.
• Improve incident response, post-mortems, and outage communications.
• Drive reliability and performance improvements and Chaos initiatives.
• Manage on-call processes and escalation to minimize downtime.
