Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable production infrastructure and distributed systems in our US-based operations.

You will own SLI/SLO/SLA definitions, automate deployments with IaC, manage multi-cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and lead incident response while mentoring junior engineers to continuously raise reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, cloud infra, platform engineering, or systems engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• Strong Linux administration, networking, distributed systems, and production troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or Shell for automation.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and Terraform (IaC).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Observability experience: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry.
• Understand SRE concepts: SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, error budgets, blameless postmortems.
• Proven track record improving availability, reliability, scalability, performance.
• Knowledge of networking, load balancing, DNS, TLS, security, HA architectures.
• Ability to work in on-call, incident management, capacity planning, cost optimization.
• Mentor engineers, document procedures, drive reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable production infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Define, monitor, and improve SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, configuration with IaC.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for frequent releases.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement observability with monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting.
• Lead incident response, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks.
• Perform capacity planning and load testing.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Implement security best practices and access controls.
• Participate in on-call rotations and coordinate issue resolution.
• Drive reliability improvements via chaos engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote automation culture.
