Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support the Data Delivery and Analytics program, ensuring reliability and velocity of services across the globe. You will engage in the full lifecycle—from design to operation—and collaborate with teams across multiple geographies to improve monitoring and automation.

Ideal candidates will have strong Unix scripting, SQL, Python, and experience with CI/CD tools, distributed systems, and incident response.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the lifecycle of services—from inception to operation and refinement.
• Analyse ITSM activities and provide feedback on gaps or resiliency concerns.
• Support services before go-live through design consulting, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Maintain services after launch by monitoring availability and system health.
• Scale systems via automation and drive reliability and velocity improvements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and promote software through environments with high quality.
