Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Technology engineer to define and lead the engineering approach for complex features that deliver significant business outcomes. You will own end-to-end solution design, drive DevOps practices, and guide incident resolution across multiple teams.

This in-office role focuses on service health, reliability, and governance, mentoring peers and collaborating with architecture, cybersecurity, risk, and vendors to deliver resilient technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technology service delivery, site reliability, or related disciplines.
• Leadership of complex, business-critical services in large-scale environments.
• Knowledge of incident, problem, change, release, capacity, availability, and service-level management.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues, make decisions under pressure, and coordinate resolution across teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive audiences.
• Experience managing risk, controls, audits, and governance processes.
• Proven ability to mentor others and build cross-team relationships.
• Experience with ITIL, cloud, DevOps, SRE, Agile, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end service delivery and production support for a portfolio of applications and infrastructure services.
• Manage service health through availability, reliability, resiliency, capacity, performance, and risk measures.
• Act as senior escalation point for high-priority incidents and coordinate resolution.
• Drive root-cause analysis and ensure corrective actions.
• Lead incident, problem, change, release, and service-review activities.
• Define and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and operational-readiness requirements.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, risk, and business teams.
• Promote automation, CI/CD, observability, and other DevOps practices.
• Assess production impacts of planned changes and coordinate deployment validation.
• Maintain compliance with access, audit, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Track SLAs, KPIs, risks, dependencies, and improvement commitments.
• Mentor team members, provide technical direction, and support onboarding.
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to deliver timely, high-quality service outcomes.
