Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to define and lead the engineering approach for complex features that drive meaningful business outcomes. You will provide technical leadership across service health, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement for critical applications and infrastructure.

Mentorship, governance, and collaboration with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, risk, and business teams are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, business-critical services in large-scale or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of incident, problem, change, release, capacity, and availability management.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues, make sound decisions under pressure, and coordinate resolution across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end service delivery and production support for a portfolio of applications, platforms, and infrastructure services.
• Manage service health through availability, reliability, resiliency, capacity, performance, and operational-risk measures.
• Act as the senior escalation point for high-priority incidents, coordinating triage, communications, recovery, and post-incident review.
• Drive root-cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed and sustained.
• Lead incident, problem, change, release, defect, and service-review activities in alignment with controls.
• Define and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, support models, and operational-readiness requirements.
