Job summary

JBAndrews is partnering with a leading global warehouse automation organization to recruit a Site Operations Manager for automated distribution facilities in Columbus, Ohio.

The role is senior, site-based, responsible for the performance of a sizeable 24/7 maintenance operation, including people leadership, customer management, budgeting, safety and continuous improvement, and acts as the senior interface between the automation provider and its customer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in operations, maintenance, logistics or similar industrial environment.
• Leadership experience at Operations Manager / Site Operations Manager / General Manager level.
• Proven track record leading sizeable teams in high-throughput operations.
• Excellent people leadership and coaching abilities.
• Strong customer-management skills and stakeholder handling.
• Experience managing operational budgets and commercial implications.
• Experience in 24/7, multi-shift operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with pragmatic approach.
• Exposure to warehouse automation or automated manufacturing is advantageous.
• Engineering qualification or Lean/Six Sigma experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a sizeable, multi-shift maintenance and engineering organization in a 24/7 automated environment.
• Ensure site performance against service levels and targets.
• Manage customer relationships and act as senior point of contact for ops and service matters.
• Coach and develop site management and technical teams; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own maintenance budgets, resource planning and commercial activities.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of warehouse automation systems.
• Report on operational, commercial and technical performance.
• Collaborate with customer and internal stakeholders to drive reliability and efficiency.
• Champion Health & Safety standards across the operation.
• Support recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.
