Job summary

AMECO is seeking a Site/Operations Manager III to oversee project services, manage procurement, and ensure adherence to policies and standards. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across multiple sites.

The position may involve frequent travel and will report to senior operations leadership. A relevant bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in construction, tools, and procurement are preferred.

  • Maintain client relations to meet contract obligations.
  • Procure rental and purchased equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Apply HR, Safety and Quality policies consistently.
  • Travel to attend business-related matters as needed.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality expectations.

Job description

The work location for this position will be determined based on business and project requirements. Candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently as needed to support operational and customer demands.

The Site/Operations Manager III conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance.

The purpose of this position is to manage and execute Project Services per the agreed-upon contract and the company’s operating policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all functions of the maintenance and tool account by developing and analyzing reports and trends.
  • Determine the number of interviews and select site personnel.
  • Maintain relations with the client to ensure all contract obligations are being met.
  • Requisition and purchase all rental and purchased construction equipment, tools, consumables, and expendable supplies.
  • Maintain and promote good member relations by consistently applying Human Resource, Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity per organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Adhere to and support AMECO's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.
  • May need to travel to attend to business-related matters.
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field of study; and seven years of experience in construction, tools/equipment, and procurement practices, or
  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Seven (7) years of experience in construction, tools/equipment, and procurement practices.
  • Strong background in accounting and management skills
  • Mathematical/budgeting aptitude
  • Project management skills, including profit/loss and scheduling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner meeting all deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong discretion and independent judgment skills.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computer-based business applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction equipment and tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to effectively supervise and improve work processes.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management preferred.
