Job summary

AMECO, a North American leader in Construction Site Services and Equipment Rental, seeks a Rigging Repair Technician in Harrison, OH to support regional rental fleet. You will troubleshoot, repair, and service pneumatic, electric, hydraulic tools and rigging equipment in a fast-paced shop/field environment.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, a mechanical aptitude, and a safety-conscious demeanor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical school credentials preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude required and 3+ years repairing tools, equipment, or machinery.
  • Experience repairing pneumatic, electric, hydraulic tools and rigging equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical and air tools; comfortable in a shop environment.
  • Professional, customer-service oriented demeanor is essential.
  • Must be able to lift, stand for long periods, and work overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine adjustments, tests, inspections, maintenance, and repairs to equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair small gas engines and various tools.
  • Complete work orders/parts orders and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments; ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and global standards.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and participate in training.

Job description

AMECO, a North American leader in Construction Site Services, Product Distribution, and Equipment Rental is seeking a Rigging Repair Technician to regionally support our rental fleet to include field service and repairs. The position is based out of our Harrison, OH facility.

AMECO is looking to hire an experienced Rigging Repair Technician. As a Rigging Repair Technician, you will trouble shoot, repair, and service various types of industrial and contractor’s equipment primarily pneumatic, electric, hydraulic tools, and rigging equipment. We are looking for a self-starter that displays a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality workmanship. Based on our small team environment, dependability is critical, including the ability to work overtime when needed. This is a day shift position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine adjustments, tests, inspections, maintenance, and repairs to equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair small gas engines
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders/parts orders
  • Maintain an orderly work area
  • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Adhere to and support AMECO’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills relative to the job
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED; Technical school credentials preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to three (3) plus years’ experience in repairing tools, equipment, or machinery.
  • Preferred experience repairing the following types of equipment: Manual Chain Hoists and Pullers, Pneumatic Tuggers / Winches, Pneumatic Impacts, Power Tools, Electric Threaders, Milling Equipment (Electric and Pneumatic).
  • Moderate knowledge of tool craftmanship and repair techniques, including electrical, air tools
  • Requires a professional and customer service demeanor always be displayed.
  • Able to perform physical requirements of the job, including, but not limited to lifting, climbing, being on your feet for extended amounts of time and working in a shop environment are needed.
  • Able to obtain an internal forklift license
  • As the workload dictates, some overtime (including weekends) will be required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • The selected candidate must provide/furbish own repair tools, bench equipment supplied.
