Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Site Observability Engineer to design and operate metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting platforms across our enterprise systems. You will focus on usability, signal quality, and ROI, spanning collection agents to dashboards with strong emphasis on reliability.

The ideal candidate has built observability platforms at scale, understands open-source vs SaaS trade-offs, and can translate telemetry into actionable insights for engineers and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or observability roles.
• Hands-on with Prometheus, Grafana, and at least one major observability platform.
• Strong OpenTelemetry, tracing, and structured logging knowledge.
• Proficient in at least one language (Go, Python, or Java).
• Experience with high-cardinality metrics and log pipelines.
• Familiar with CI/CD and incident-management tooling.
• SRE fundamentals, including SLOs and error budgets.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate enterprise-grade observability platforms for metrics, logs, traces, events, and synthetic monitoring.
• Architect deployments of Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and related tools at scale.
• Develop standards for instrumentation, metric naming, and logging conventions.
• Define SLOs/SLIs and build dashboards and alerts to operationalize them.
• Lead cost management and improve on-call workflows and incident response.
• Mentor teams on observability fundamentals and runbooks for the platform.
• Collaborate with SRE and platform teams to integrate observability into pipelines.
