Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager to partner with the site operations team at our Nashville site. You will implement company WHS policies, drive continuous improvement, and lead a team of safety professionals to reduce risk and ensure a healthful working environment for our associates.

You will train and guide operations leadership on EHS policies, build leadership strength, and influence cross-functional teams to meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends to support site needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on local/regional regulations and WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amazon safety policies.
• Measure site performance and plan improvements for deficiencies.
• Maintain safety records and provide accurate reporting and metrics.
• Lead safety projects and Kaizen events with Ops teams.
• Mentor Safety Managers and Associates at the site.
• Partner with IPS and site leadership for incident reduction.
• Audit training quality and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with corporate safety personnel to adopt best practices.
