Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer in Austin, TX to lead civil and utility infrastructure projects for wind, solar, substations, and transmission corridors.

You will design, manage, and deliver site development and power-related infrastructure with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires a PE license with 10+ years in site civil engineering, strong project management, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• PE license with 10+ years of site civil experience preferred.
• Experience with site development and utility infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with permitting processes for development and energy projects.
• Proven project and/or task management experience.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utilities for permits and compliance.
• Perform site evaluations, due diligence, and feasibility assessments for land development and energy sites.
• Prepare and review plans, drainage reports, and permit submittals.
• Develop grading, drainage, access roads, and utility layouts for large developments and power facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Deliver designs meeting safety, environmental, and client requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews for contract deliverables.
• Coordinate with surveyors, environmental scientists, and engineers to support integrated delivery.
