Hanson Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Site Civil Engineer to lead civil/site design and delivery for renewable energy and utility projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with site development and/or utility infrastructure projects, including wind/solar or transmission.
• Familiarity with permitting processes for traditional development and energy/utility projects.
• Proven project and/or task management experience.
• Strong knowledge of site civil engineering principles including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (preferred) or similar site design software.
• General Contractor License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including renewable energy and utility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers to ensure compliance with zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations.
• Perform site evaluations, due diligence, and feasibility assessments for land development and energy infrastructure.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, drainage reports, and permit submittals.
• Develop grading, drainage, access roads, and utility layouts for large-scale developments and power facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedules, and budgets for site and utility development.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for successful execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
• Deliver designs meeting safety, environmental, and client expectations.
• Perform quality control reviews for contract deliverables.
• Coordinate with surveyors, environmental scientists, structural and electrical engineers for integrated delivery.
