Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer to lead civil and utility infrastructure projects for wind, solar, and transmission facilities. You will coordinate with municipalities, regulators, and utilities to ensure permitting and compliance while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes project management, design execution, and mentorship, with a focus on quality and safety across site development and energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed PE with at least 10 years of site civil experience.
• Experience with site development and/or utility infrastructure incl renewable energy or transmission.
• Familiarity with permitting processes for development and energy projects.
• Proven project or task management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage civil engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers to ensure compliance.
• Perform site evaluations, due diligence, and feasibility assessments for land development and energy infrastructure.
• Prepare and review engineering plans, drainage reports, and permit submittals.
• Develop grading, drainage, access roads, and utility layouts for large developments and power facilities.
• Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Deliver designs meeting safety, environmental, and client requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews for contract deliverables.
• Coordinate with surveyors and engineers to support integrated delivery of power and site projects.
