Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer to lead site civil design efforts, provide technical and managerial oversight, and support staff development across a broad infrastructure design group.

The role includes pursuit, project planning, coordination across disciplines, and opportunities for hybrid work based on location and experience. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of site design experience and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license required with ability to obtain licensure in additional states.
• 10+ years of site design experience, preferably with significant design-build experience.
• Experience with civil/site development and utility coordination.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Civil3D, and other relevant modeling/design tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including reports and presentations.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet federal government contracts requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preliminary design concepts and alternatives to support estimating, pursuit strategy, and project planning.
• Lead complex site civil engineering design tasks; serve as engineer of record or responsible charge as required.
• Oversee development of models and design deliverables using design platforms.
• Lead interdisciplinary coordination for integrated, constructible design solutions.
• Oversee final designs including layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and fencing.
• Promote data-driven design approaches and innovative technical solutions.
• Estimate, plan, direct, progress reporting, and change management within multidisciplinary teams.
• Explain design criteria and ensure contractual compliance through all phases of design.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and foster quality culture across teams.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior and mid-level engineers.
