Job summary

CAE Inc. in the United States is seeking a Simulator Technician III to perform complex diagnostics and maintenance on simulators and related systems.

The role involves hands-on support across office, on-site, field, and lab environments, with responsibilities spanning preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and software-related enhancements. You will work closely with the engineering team to implement hardware upgrades, provide technical training to colleagues, and ensure compliance with CAE

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent training.
• Proficiency with all types of test equipment.
• Proficiency with software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform in-depth analysis for hardware modifications and upgrades.
• Ability to assist with development and delivery of technical training.
• Demonstrated ability as a technical expert on at least one major simulator system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and correct complex simulator problems.
• Record maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
• Train technicians in basic and advanced skills.
• Provide technical training to other technicians.
• Support engineering with modifications and software enhancements.
• Perform refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Carry out pre-flight and post-flight checks on simulators.
• Coordinate with the group lead on maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with CAE quality management practices.
