Job summary

CAE Inc. is seeking a technical services maintenance specialist to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators at the CAE Montreal Training Center, including real-time issue resolution and system validation.

You will work in Windows, Unix, and C/C++ environments, read electrical drawings, and update documentation. The role offers international travel opportunities and occasional work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• DEC or equivalent in relevant field.
• Experience with software/electronic modification/manipulation.
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix, C/C++, and scripting languages.
• Willingness to read electrical/electro-mechanical drawings and design documents.
• Excellent communication in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time phone support for training center simulators.
• Prepare simulators for customer training including pre-flight tests.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks.
• Perform validation tests and handle backups.
• Diagnose and resolve complex simulator issues promptly.
• Identify and replace defective components.
• Maintain configuration control of software/hardware.
• Work with C/Unix/Windows to debug and develop leads for resolution.
• Read electrical/electromechanical drawings and define problems from data.
• Hands-on fixes on Full Flight Simulators.
