Job summary

CAE Inc. is seeking a Simulator Technician II to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CAE and non-CAE flight simulators at the CAE Training Center in Dallas, TX.

The role involves diagnosing routine issues, assisting with complex repairs, and supporting refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or technical training with 2+ years of simulator experience or 4+ years in related fields; strong schematics and diagnostic tool skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2-year technical degree) or equivalent related technical training.
• 2 years of direct simulator experience or 4 years related experience in electronics, avionics, automated systems, computer networking, troubleshooting, or repair.
• Experience reading schematics and using electronic diagnostic tools.
• Experience operating electronic test equipment and soldering.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve routine issues affecting simulators.
• Assist in diagnosing complex simulator and system issues.
• Perform non-aircraft-specific pre/post-flight tasks as assigned.
• Train technicians in foundational technical skills.
• Assist with simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
• Maintain documentation in the maintenance system and ensure quality management compliance.
• Provide customer support and respond to needs in a timely manner.
