Job summary

CAE is seeking a Simulator Technician II to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on multiple CAE and non-CAE flight simulators at the CAE Training Center. You will diagnose routine issues, assist with complex problems, and train technicians while ensuring adherence to the CAE Quality Management System.

The role involves usage of the maintenance management system, participation in refurbishment projects, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2-year technical degree) or equivalent related technical training.
• 2 years of direct simulator experience; or 4 years of related electronics/avionics/repair experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and use schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Experience operating electronic test equipment.
• Soldering and circuit board repair experience.
• Basic PC knowledge and MS Office applications.
• Customer service orientation with attention to detail.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (8–10 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and work at the primary location in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and associated systems.
• Diagnose and resolve routine issues; assist with complex problems.
• Train technicians in foundational technical skills.
• Complete training, refurbishment projects, and hardware modifications.
• Utilize maintenance management system to document activities.
• Provide customer support and respond to needs timely.
• Perform logistics such as receiving parts and coordinating repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Complete administrative tasks associated with the position.
