Job summary

CAE is seeking a Simulator Technician II to maintain and troubleshoot flight simulators at our Dallas, TX site. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose hardware and software issues, and assist with refurbishment and testing projects.

The role requires an associate degree or technical training, simulator experience, and the ability to work physically demanding shifts. Travel up to 10% and adherence to CAE QMS are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training.
• 2 years direct simulator experience or 4 years related electronics/automation experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Experience with electronic test equipment and soldering/circuit repair.
• Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office.
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Able to sit/stand/walk up to 8–10 hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform varied physical tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work at Dallas, TX location.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on flight simulators and related systems.
• Diagnose and resolve routine issues; assist with complex problems.
• Complete pre/post-flight tasks and alignments.
• Run QTG results and document maintenance in CMMS.
• Train technicians in foundational skills and complete trainings.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and hardware mods.
• Maintain CAE Quality Management System compliance.
• Provide timely customer support and coordinate logistics for repairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and complete administrative duties.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
