Job summary

Onebrief is seeking a Staff Simulation Data Modeler to own the AtomEngine entity catalog end to end, including sources, standards, formulas, tooling, and test coverage. You will direct AI agents to research and build scalable entities, while shaping the model logic and data fidelity for real-world military scenarios.

You will collaborate with Customer Relations, Engineering, and other Content Creators to validate data, run competitive wargames, and continuously improve the catalog.

Qualifications

• Strong research and analytical skills with sound judgment when data is incomplete or conflicted.
• Ability to direct AI agents, write clear prompts, and establish review checkpoints.
• Comfort with quantitative modeling of weapon effects, fuel consumption, and survivability.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a catalog spanning hundreds of items.
• Concise, effective written and verbal communication to share standards and methods.
• A wargamer's mindset focused on simulation correctness.
• Ability to defend technical calls to customers or SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Lead catalog strategy across catalog segments and maintain a structured catalog of all entities and data sources.
• Translate customer and field feedback into a prioritized roadmap for catalog work.
• Codify governing principles for entity creation and production.
• Develop defensible formulas for performance models and defend them to SMEs; collaborate with Engineering.
• Design prompts, review loops, and guardrails for agentic AI workflows.
• Lead VV&A across segments and design automated test batteries to catch regressions.
• Organize and run competitive wargames to stress-test entities and assumptions.
• Document standards and train analysts on tradecraft and VV&A methods.
