Job summary

Anduril is seeking a full‑stack software engineer to design agentic modeling and simulation systems for operational planning. The role sits at the crossroads of applied AI, backend systems, model and simulation, wargaming, and mission software.

You will build systems that let humans and AI agents author scenarios, task simulated entities, inspect simulation state, and evaluate courses of action in near real time, with the goal of shortening planning cycles from days to minutes for operators.

Qualifications

• Strong production software engineering experience building backend services.
• Hands-on AI/ML or LLM-powered software with tool calling or evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar backend language.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Math/Physics or related field.
• Ability to work with operators and SMEs to translate needs into requirements.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic modeling and simulation systems for operational planning.
• Design multi-agent architectures modeling decision-making and tradeoffs.
• Integrate LLM tool use, function calling, retrieval, and planning loops with simulation engines.
