Job summary

AMD is seeking a silicon verification engineer to plan, develop, and execute verification activities for new and existing features in graphics processor IP. You will partner with architecture, hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure high-quality silicon through robust verification methodologies.

You will design directed and constrained-random tests, debug issues, and drive coverage metrics while contributing to scalable verification practices and a culture of excellence in engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent practical experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with distributed teams.
• Willingness to learn and continually improve engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and firmware teams to verify new feature requirements.
• Develop verification test plans across hardware, firmware, software drivers, and system use cases.
• Estimate effort for verification development and updates to environments.
• Develop directed and constrained-random verification tests.
• Debug test failures and identify root causes with RTL and firmware engineers.
• Review functional and code coverage metrics and enhance verification content to meet coverage goals.
• Contribute to methodolog y improvements to boost quality, efficiency, and scalability.
