Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking a senior silicon engineering professional to collaborate across Design, Verification, and Software teams to emulate and validate next-gen silicon designs. You will implement emulation testbenches, develop end-to-end transactors, and assist post-silicon bring-up on a hybrid schedule reporting to a Silicon Engineering Lead.

The role requires a BS in CS/EE with 5+ years in silicon development, experience with major emulation platforms, SystemVerilog expertise, and programming

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/EE or related field and 5 years silicon development experience.
• Experience with at least one major hardware emulation platform (Palladium, Zebu, Veloce, Protium, HAPS).
• High level of proficiency with SystemVerilog and design verification methodologies.
• Programming in C++, Python, or TCL for automation, test development, debug flows, and release process.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design, Verification, and Software to simulate future silicon designs on an emulation platform.
• Design, implement, and optimize emulation testbenches balancing performance and debugging needs.
• Write end-to-end synthesizable transactors to interact with emulated designs via software APIs and C-DPI.
• Triage and root-cause failures with emulation users using waveforms, logs, and monitors.
• Assist with post-silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization.
• Build infrastructure to support the emulation user base including CI, tooling, data analysis, and training.
