Job summary

Etched is hiring for a hands-on emulation/SoC engineer in our San Jose office to bring up complex SoCs on emulation platforms and drive pre-silicon validation efforts. You will develop automated flows, collaborate across design, DV, and software teams, and partner with emulation vendors to advance platform capabilities.

You will leverage strong C/C++, Linux development skills and SystemVerilog DPI interfaces to build efficient debug pipelines, hybrid emulation environments, and scalable CI

Qualifications

• Experience bringing up SoCs on emulation platforms.
• Strong C/C++ and Linux system development abilities.
• Proficiency with SystemVerilog and Verilog DPI interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SoC bring-up on emulation platforms; diagnose and resolve failing SoC/processor tests.
• Develop and maintain automated build and regression flows to accelerate pre-silicon validation and software development.
• Provide support across emulation environments using DPI transactors, coverage analysis, and in-circuit emulation for high-speed protocols.
• Collaborate with Design, DV, Silicon Validation, Performance, and Software teams; partner with emulation vendors to enhance platform capabilities.
• Develop high-performance infrastructure to capture debugging signals and surface actionable insights for users.
• Implement hybrid emulation environments using DPI-based streaming transactors.
• Create configurable chip-to-chip network models using emulation-efficient primitives.
• Build and maintain CI pipelines and git-based workflows for regression tracking.
