Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – Signal and Sensor Modeling to build physics-based modeling for DoD Space applications. You will develop EO/IR/RF models, deploy software that supports AI algorithms, and collaborate with Signal and Sensor Modeling teams onsite in Tucson.

You will write C++ models, apply advanced physics in software, and guide cross-functional teams while mentoring peers on EO/RF topics. A clear path to impactful defense technology awaits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field with 5+ years' experience.
• Experience with C++, C and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience on UNIX/Linux, Apple OS or Windows command line; eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques for advanced simulations.
• Develop new C++ models in extensible, maintainable form.
• Apply EO/RF phenomenology into software implementations.
• Enable customer success through modeling adoption.
• Work across languages and build environments in product.
• Research EO/RF modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to prioritize complex issues.
• Mentor teammates on EO/RF expertise.
