Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing for its Tucson, AZ site. You will design, develop, test, and optimize signal processing algorithms used across missile systems, integrating them with hardware from concept through live-fire testing.

You should have a STEM degree, 5+ years in signal processing, and coding experience in C/C++, C#, or Java. Candidates must be eligible for an interim Secret clearance and be onsite in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant prior experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar, and/or Acoustic domains.
• Experience with C programming language, or OO languages (C++, C#, Java).
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and/or optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret US government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess signal processing algorithms and models for RF or EO/IR.
• Modify simulations for design, development, prototyping, integration, testing and performance assessment.
• Test and validate sensor models and algorithms in labs to meet requirements.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and support all development phases from startup to live-fire testing.
• Mentor others and share knowledge across teams.
