Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on developing and validating signal processing algorithms for missile systems, integrating them into hardware, and supporting live-fire testing.

You will work with simulations, software and hardware teams, and mentor others while maintaining rigorous technical standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with EO/IR, RF, sonar, or acoustic signal processing.
• Proficiency in C and/or object-oriented languages (C++, C#, Java).
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, testing and optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, testing and assessment of signal processing algorithms and models.
• Test and verify sensor models and algorithm performance in lab environments.
• Assist in hardware-software integration across development phases from startup to live-fire testing.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge with the group.
