Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing in Tucson, AZ. You will design, prototype, and test signal processing algorithms for missile systems and sensor data, enabling calibration, denoising, detection, tracking, and classification across programs.

You will work on hardware/software integration, mentor teammates, and participate in development from start-up to live-fire testing in an onsite role requiring clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar, or Acoustic domains
• Experience with C programming language, or Object-Oriented Programming with C++, C#, or Java
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and optimization
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance prior to start

Responsibilities

• Act as a seasoned professional with advanced knowledge of signal processing to support difficult missile systems program objectives
• Use and modify simulations for the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of signal processing algorithms and models
• Participate in engineering lab environments to test, verify, and validate sensor models and signal processing algorithm performance against requirements
• Focus on integration of algorithms into hardware and collaborate in all development phases from program start-up to live-fire testing
• Share knowledge and mentor others
