Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Signal Processing Engineer to advance EW capabilities by developing novel algorithms and taking solutions from simulation to lab and field deployments.

You will lead technical work on multi-disciplinary teams, work with MATLAB/Python/C++/Java and apply spectral estimation, digital filtering, and stochastic methods to real-world signals. On-site roles in CA or VA offices are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 10+ years
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Linux, Mathematica, and Simulink; languages C/C++ or Java
• Strong foundation in digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra, and stochastic processes
• Experience in EW, SIGINT, and/or radar systems
• Demonstrated success leading small multidisciplinary technical teams or projects
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop novel algorithms for extracting information from signal sensors in time-series and spectral domains
• Build performance simulations and validate results against synthetic and real data
• Lead lab-based and field testing; see work on real hardware and signals
• Serve as technical team lead on multi-disciplinary teams and set technical direction
• Shape future work by developing solutions for capture efforts and proposals
• Brief results to team, leadership, and government customers and build relationships with users
