Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced engineer specialized in Image and Signal Processing (S/IP) to join the Missiles and Fire Control team. You will research, design, develop and verify signal and image processing systems and algorithms for advanced sensors and platform integration.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, interim clearance to start, and proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C++.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, physics, computer science, applied math, or similar STEM field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Interim Clearance required to start; must be a US citizen.
• Fluent in MATLAB, Python, and C++; strong math skills in linear algebra, statistics, and convolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and verify embedded algorithms for missile and fire-control target detection and tracking.
• Develop, validate, and test complex models and simulations using advanced image processing.
• Evaluate system performance in complex environments and verify requirements at subsystem level.
• Support HWIL and flight-test activities; collaborate across programs and teams.
• As SME, support program reviews and technical interchange with leadership and customers.
