Job summary

Vermeer Great Plains, an authorized Vermeer distributor, seeks a Shop Foreman to coordinate skilled repairs and maintenance of heavy equipment in Oklahoma City. You will prioritize work, assign tasks to technicians, and ensure quality and safety while maintaining detailed records.

The role requires an associate degree in a diesel or heavy equipment field, at least 5 years of technician experience, leadership capability, and certifications within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in heavy equipment field; 5 years technician experience preferred
• 2 years leadership experience required
• Vermeer Core Skills Certification within 6 months; Advanced Technician Certification within 18 months
• 2 engine manufacturer certifications within 1 year
• Valid unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct skilled repairs and maintenance of equipment
• Prioritize repairs and manage shop workflow by skill level
• Perform final quality inspections on repairs
• Enforce health and safety policies
• Meet repair deadlines and manage warranty work orders
• Provide mentorship to technicians
• Maintain complete and detailed records
• Maintain shop tools and equipment and keep area safe and clean
• Stay current with industry trends via Service Schools and development plans
