NEBCO, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman to lead a premier maintenance operation for heavy highway, asphalt, and concrete equipment in Nebraska.

The Foreman will steward the entire shop department, ensuring accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in all maintenance activities. The role emphasizes ownership of maintenance workflows, safety practices, and effective coordination with mechanics, vendors, and management to minimize downtime and optimize equipment

Qualifications

• Must have a technical degree or certification in heavy equipment, diesel technology, or related program.
• 5 years of experience in shop operations, equipment management, and leadership, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all entering/leaving shop equipment and assign repairs.
• Create and close work orders; track technician labor.
• Authorize outside repairs and vendor approvals.
• Manage parts issued to repairs and warranty recovery.
• Monitor preventive maintenance compliance and repair quality.
• Make repair-versus-replace recommendations to maximize uptime.
• Control equipment downtime and shop tooling/inventory.
• Ensure safe practices and proper housekeeping; enforce PPE requirements.
• Coordinate training and development; document repair history.
