American Cruise Lines seeks experienced Mates for our U.S. flag fleet. Mates are senior shipboard officers reporting to the Captain and ensuring safe vessel operations and professional leadership on coastal and river routes.

We offer on-board accommodations, chef-prepared meals, and access to simulator-based training to develop piloting skills further. This full-time position requires Coast Guard Mate licensing and relevant river/ coastal experience.

Competenze

• Coast Guard Mate license with Near Coastal endorsement or higher.
• 2+ years coastal/river mate experience; 5+ preferred with Z-drive experience.
• Basic marine engineering knowledge (diesel, hydraulics, liquid load management).

Mansioni

• Ensure safety and security of passengers, crew, and vessel.
• Operate the vessel in compliance with standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of all vessel spaces.
• Supervise, lead, and develop deck officers.
• Execute cleaning, sanitation, maintenance, and logistics.
• Lead crew orientation, training, watch standing, and drills.
• Coordinate with Hotel Officers and Service Crew for five-star guest service.
• Document cleaning, sanitation, maintenance, and logistics administratively.
• Maintain safe, clean, and comfortable onboard environment for all.
