Klickitat County seeks a Volunteer Coordinator-Senior Services for the Goldendale-White Salmon area. This non-exempt, temporary part-time role supports the Volunteer Connection program, recruiting, training and supervising volunteers across Klickitat County.

The position requires coordinating events, developing training materials, and building community partnerships, with occasional evenings/weekends and travel within the county.

Formación

• Minimum of one year experience with volunteer recruitment and coordination, human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in cultivation of volunteers and ability to engage volunteer groups with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and travel throughout Klickitat County.
• Must be able to work some non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements: Valid state driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsabilidades

• Organizes, coordinates and manages the recruitment of volunteers.
• Provide orientation and training for new volunteers conducting up-to-date and lively orientation sessions to engage volunteers and to provide knowledge needed to volunteers to provide needed service.
• Maintain a diverse force of volunteers for organization.
• Assist with development of appropriate training materials, revising as necessary.
• Work with the director and operations manager to provide meaningful service opportunities for volunteers.
