Job summary

Klickitat County Senior Services is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator-Senior Services for the Goldendale-White Salmon area to administer all aspects of the Volunteer Connection program, including recruiting, training and supervising volunteers.

This temp, part-time role requires coordinating events, outreach, partnerships with community organizations, and maintaining the volunteer database, with weekend and evening availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience with volunteer recruitment and coordination.
• Experience in cultivation of volunteers and ability to engage volunteer groups.
• Ability to work independently and travel throughout Klickitat County.
• Must be available for some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, coordinates and manages recruitment of volunteers.
• Provide orientation and training for new volunteers.
• Maintain a diverse volunteer force for the organization.
• Develop training materials and revise as necessary.
• Plan events, coordinate logistics, and be primary contact for events.
• Fundraising and community outreach throughout Klickitat County.
• Manage the volunteer database and periodic volunteer evaluations.
• Speak on behalf of KCSS/Volunteer Connection and develop partnerships.
