Job summary

Family Service in Champaign, IL is seeking a Community Support Services Manager to lead HomeCare, Meals on Wheels, and Senior Transportation. You will supervise direct care staff and volunteers, ensuring services run smoothly so seniors stay safe and healthy in their own homes.

You will recruit, train, and supervise staff, schedule client services, and develop outreach to grow private-pay and contracted services, collaborating with the CCU and other partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field, or comparable experience.
• Three years of management and supervisory experience, with scheduling, technology, and public relations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a positive, customer-first attitude.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt when things change.
• Initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic realities of seniors, staff, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire direct care staff with the Volunteer Coordinator.
• Provide orientation, training, and supervision with regular feedback and evaluations.
• Build weekly schedules for staff, volunteers, and clients; notify families of changes.
• Serve as go-to person for programs; address questions and document issues.
• Grow private-pay and contracted services in collaboration with leadership.
• Represent the team at meetings and in the community with professionalism and confidentiality.
