Job summary

National Church Residences in Columbus, OH is seeking a Service Coordinator to advocate for residents and coordinate community services. The role focuses on connecting seniors to housing-related supports and ensuring quality care, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and outreach.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and retirement programs, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience delivering social services to elderly and/or family populations preferred.
• Working knowledge of supportive services and local community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver measurable results for residents.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, organize, problem-solve, and deliver results for residents.
• Coordinate programs and activities for residents.
• Serve as liaison to community agencies and network with service providers.
• Identify low-cost service providers or negotiate discounts.
• Engage residents to identify needs and make referrals to services.
• Develop a Resource Directory that includes state/local providers.
• Sponsor educational events on health care, support, life skills and referrals.
• Provide quality customer service to residents and address concerns.
• Assist residents in utilizing services such as housekeeping, meals, transportation, personal services, financial assistance, day care counseling.
• Monitor, document and relay feedback from residents and families.
• Manage relationships internally and externally with strong communication.
