Job summary

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Services Coordinator for a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving older adults and individuals with disabilities. This is a part-time, temp-to-hire role, 20 hours per week, onsite in Everett, Washington.

The Senior Services Coordinator will lead outreach, coordinate programming, connect participants with services, and maintain documentation.

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Services Coordinator for a mission-driven nonprofit organization supporting older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their communities. This is a part-time, temp-to-hire opportunity working 20 hours per week onsite in Everett, Washington. This is an immediate need with the potential for permanent conversion.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Services Coordinator will lead community outreach efforts while supporting older adults and individuals with disabilities through resource navigation, group programming, and administrative coordination. This role focuses on building trusted community relationships, connecting participants with essential services, and creating welcoming and engaging experiences for a small community-based group. The ideal candidate brings direct experience supporting older adults and/or adults with disabilities and is warm, resourceful, community-oriented, and comfortable independently facilitating group activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead community outreach efforts and develop relationships with senior centers, community organizations, service providers, and other local partners to expand program awareness, participation, and access to services.
  • Build trusted relationships with older adults, individuals with disabilities, families, and caregivers while connecting participants with food assistance, healthcare, transportation, benefits, and other community resources.
  • Facilitate weekly small-group programming, developing engaging social activities, presentations, crafts, meals, and resource-sharing opportunities based on participant interests and needs.
  • Coordinate community presentations, outreach activities, partnerships, and events while representing the program in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Maintain accurate client documentation, track appointments and activities, and provide timely updates regarding program services, outreach, and participant needs.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities including scheduling, client notes, outreach follow-up, program coordination, meetings, and general program support.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Direct experience supporting older adults and/or adults with disabilities, ideally within senior services, human services, social services, community programs, or a similar environment.
  • Experience with community outreach, resource navigation, and group programming or facilitation, with the ability to develop trusted relationships across diverse communities.
  • Warm, compassionate, creative, and dependable approach with a genuine interest in supporting older adults and creating engaging participant experiences.
  • Organized and self-motivated with strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently, using Microsoft Office, and learning new databases and systems.
  • Valid Washington driver's license and current auto insurance required; must be able to regularly lift and move at least 25 pounds, including tables, chairs, supplies, and program materials.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This part-time, temporary-to-hire, non-exempt position offers $24.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a guaranteed schedule of 20 hours per week. The temporary assignment is anticipated to continue through December 31, 2026, based on current program funding, with the potential for permanent conversion.
