Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior ServiceNow developer to support ongoing DHS application development. The role will execute custom development on the Now Platform with an agile team, including dashboards and reporting. This is a fully remote position within the United States.

You will lead developers, design and implement ServiceNow applications, and collaborate with product owners to decompose requirements and deliver value. DHS clearance requirement applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8+ years of work experience.
• 5+ years’ of development experience (2 years as a lead developer).
• 3+ years' experience in ServiceNow and the Now Platform - ITSM, App Engine and/or Integration Hub.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to design, discuss, and document system strategies for platforms and networks.
• Experience writing both unit and end-to-end automated tests.
• Proficient with Jira and GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers on strategy, planning and execution of customized applications.
• Develop, maintain and expand a set of custom ServiceNow applications on the Now Platform.
• Develop front- and back-end components linked to a blended tech stack and integrate into legacy systems.
• Support dashboard development and metrics creation based on ServiceNow data.
• Deliver lightweight back-end services and front-end web stack.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues.
• Promote innovation in technologies, processes and tools.
• Work with Product Owners and Scrum Teams on requirements, backlog, and user stories.
• Interface with stakeholders in support of the Product Owner.
• Use unit and integration testing to ensure defect-free systems.
• Interface with internal and Government management personnel.
