Job summary

Applied Network Solutions, Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (ServiceNow) to lead deployment, development, and integration of the ServiceNow suite across Windows and Linux while supporting RMF authorization and high-availability operations.

You will mentor teams, drive SDLC processes (Agile/Scrum), and automate with Ansible, Python, Terraform, and PowerShell while collaborating with PMs and Tech Leads to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph required.
• 16 years of combined work history and education.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and at least one other advanced ServiceNow certification.
• At least 5 years of relevant ServiceNow experience.
• Expert knowledge of network management systems, operating systems, COTS/GOTS, and integration.
• Cross platform experience including Windows, Linux, Juniper, and Cisco.
• Automation experience with Ansible, Python, Terraform, and PowerShell for ServiceNow deployments.
• Lead SDLC/Agile projects; coordinate risks and deliverables.
• Mentor team; communicate with PMs and Tech Leads.
• Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement.
• RMF/A&A compliance experience.
• ServiceNow scripting with JavaScript; integration using Java, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Documentation creation and user handoff training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ServiceNow deployment, administration, development, and integration.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Technical Leads; communicate progress and risks.
• Direct integration with Cisco NSO, GOTS, and other enterprise tools.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide user handoff training.
• Monitor IT system performance and availability; respond to issues.
• Lead hardening and RMF authorization efforts; ensure compliance.
• Automate deployment activities using Ansible, Python, Terraform, PowerShell.
• Lead SDLC-driven projects; deliver deployable packages for production.
• Ensure solutions are production-ready with minimal manual intervention.
