Job summary

BayOne Solutions is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect/Engineer to design, implement, and scale enterprise ServiceNow solutions with a focus on ITAM and CMDB. You’ll help maintain accurate asset and configuration data and collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and data center teams.

You will design and maintain ITAM/CMDB, improve data quality, and govern discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and DCIM tools.

Job description

We’re seeking a Senior ServiceNow Architect / Engineer to build and scale enterprise ServiceNow solutions, with a focus on IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). You’ll help maintain accurate, well-governed asset and configuration data and work with teams across infrastructure, operations, and data center environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow ITAM and CMDB solutions for enterprise environments.
• Improve CMDB data quality, CI class modeling, relationships, and reconciliation across discovery sources.
• Implement and support Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with tools such as SCCM, cloud platforms, and infrastructure inventory systems.
• Support hardware, software, and data center asset lifecycle tracking.
• Develop CMDB governance practices, data certification processes, and health dashboards.
• Build and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, business rules, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, improve performance, and assess upgrade impacts.
• Gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions in partnership with technical and business stakeholders.
• Mentor developers and administrators and contribute to platform standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or administration experience.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow Asset Management and CMDB.
• Knowledge of CI classes and relationships, Discovery patterns, and identification and reconciliation rules.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration frameworks, including REST/SOAP APIs and MID Servers.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Configuration Management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work onsite in San Jose 3 days per week and during core Pacific Time hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center asset management experience, including physical assets and rack, power, or space management.
• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CIS-HAM/SAM, CIS-Discovery, or CIS-CMDB.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with DCIM tools.
• Familiarity with cloud asset management across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with platform upgrades, performance optimization, and scaled architecture.
• Software Asset Management licensing and compliance experience.
